how important is language and communication skills in the development of a child?

I am writing an essey on child psychology it is 2000 word and need help got a little on the Q.

it’s crucial. You might refer to children that did not have language when they were young, e.g. Kasperhauser or Genie, they were seriously disturbed when they were found because no one spoke to them.

Humans need language to make sense of the world and to find their own identity, because through language they can express who they are and who they are not, they can experience how others see them, etc.

Make sure you mention how important it is to interact with children, that they cannot learn language just by putting them in front of the TV and having a TV program fire language at them.
