Songs for scenes in a book?
I’m reading a book in language arts class called Children of the River. I’m doing a project on it, for the project I have to pick four scenes in the book and have a song for each one of them and write a half a page explaining why I chose the songs. I’ve got tons of songs for one scene in the book, but there are three others I need help on.
1. A song for when the most popular girl in school confronts you and says mean things to you.
2. A song for when you find out your childhood sweetheart is dead.
3. The main character comes from Cambodia and there is a lot of restrictions there, like the girls are always supposed to have there hair up. In the book she meets a boy in America and they are on a boat and he unties her ribbon. I’m thinking of song that says that i am free or something like that.
OK I only have one song that speaks to my heart. Curious child on the balcony by Prince…..That would be for #2
