For Children Education

The Be Able Book Range – Kickstarting your childrens education

The second book in the series of Be Able books by Lorraine Capon is written around the subject of ideas to help support your child’s learning. As Lorraine is a Grandmother and teacher as well as having her own successful consulting business, coping is something that she does extremely well and many people really do make a point of listening to whatever this fascinating lady has to say.

This must have book covers everything from preparing your child for school to what you do with them in your leisure time along with a host of other specialised advice. It is often said with Lorraine’s work that she brings up things that you would never have even considered but as soon as you read it you will instantly realise that what she is saying is absolutely essential advice.

As an example there are a few pages in the book directed at making sure that your children are acutely aware of how very special they are, not just to you but to everyone who is lucky enough to encounter them. Simple things such as this give your children a great feeling of self worth and whatever you do, you should not make the mistake of comparing them them with others who are perhaps better or worse at certain aspects of their life.

If you compare with someone who is apparently doing better at certain subjects it will make your child feel like they are not good enough in this area and surprisingly, if you compare them with another child who is not doing as well they may feel that they then have an excuse to  hold back and take it easy.

Many of the subjects in this Be Able book could be seen as common sense but the funny thing is, it is common sense that you may not previously even considered.
